Celebrity Spotting at Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita

Celebrities have been flocking to the Thalasso Center Spa and Anti-Aging Center at Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita to experience unique seawater and marine therapies at its 22,700 square foot ocean-side location. Fans of the property include Teri Hatcher of Desperate Housewives, Kate Walsh, formerly of Grey’s Anatomy and star of new ABC show Private Practice; and Maria Menounos, Today Show and Access Hollywood correspondent, all of whom have made recent visits to the Thalasso Center Spa.

When Teri Hatcher visited the spa with boyfriend Stephen Kay, she raved about the Seaweed Body Treatment. Kate Walsh started her treatment fix with the Marine Prelude and the Under Afusion Massage and completed her visit with the resort’s signature Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Massage on the pier with fiancé Alex Young. Maria Menounos made a birthday visit to the spa and celebrated with the Cold Marine Facial and the Paraiso de la Bonita Massage.

Although none of these celebrities needed an anti-aging fix, the Anti-Aging Center, the newest component to the Thalasso Center and Spa facilities, is now open offering traditional anti-aging procedures including Botox and skin peels, as well as more invasive treatments widely popular in Europe. To assess skin’s condition and body imbalances, both VISIA® Complexion Analysis and Bio-Meridian testing are used in order to prescribe appropriate treatments for all guests.

Enjoy the all-natural, romantic ambiance of the Caribbean Sea by chartering La Bonita, Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita’s private 48-foot luxury catamaran. This luxurious boat is elegantly-stated with an art-filled living room and four spacious cabins with in suite bathrooms, each decorated in their own, unique style. La Bonita is available for a variety of uses including cocktail parties, romantic moonlight dining and overnight excursions.

Wine Cellar Dining

The resort’s signature dining experience at the AAA Four Diamond rated La Canoa Restaurant features Cuisine de los Soles and fine, romantic dining with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Guests can also choose to dine in the impressive 5,000 bottle wine cellar with private dining facilities, perfect for a romantic evening for two or for parties and groups.

Guests dining at the wine cellar are invited to sample a stunning range of wines with gourmet hams and cheeses to start off their meal, including the world-famous Spanish Pata Negra ham. Sample entrée dishes include Creamy Giant Scallop Risotto with Wild Mushrooms, Cashews and Prosciutto di Parma, Vanilla Pod Shrimp Skewers over Yucatan Pumpkin Samosa with Sauteed Artichoke and a Sweet & Sour Tamarind sauce, and Black Angus Beef over Dried Fruit Couscous with Warm Duck Foie Gras a l’Orange with Red Onion Pok-Chuc.

Going Green

Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya has developed a sustainable tourism program to benefit the Sian Ka’an Biosphere reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage site. As a member of the United Nations Foundation and the Expedia, Inc. project, Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita promotes environmentally and economically sustainable development that will help preserve the variety of wetlands, jungles, mangrove forests, dunes and reef lagoons with over 360 species of animals.

Most recently, Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita donated $11,776 to support the communities damaged by Hurricane Dean, which was generously matched by the UN Foundation for a total of $21,776.
